Here's a short interview I did with Mike Davis, author of the best modern studies of Los Angeles. (The interview itself was much, much longer and loaded with esoteric LA history, but I only had 1,200 words in the mag.) It's in the debut issue of New Angeles, a downtown/eastside monthly.
